Our Racing Team
As your racing partners Team Itchy Feet are a company with active working knowledge of motorsport
and Winnebago hire for motorsport in the UK. We proudly sponsor and are joint owners of a true piece
of F1 racing history.
The 1989 LOTUS JUDD F1 car, type 101, chassis no 3, Car number 12. Driven in the 1989 GP season by
Sotoru Nakajima with a best result of 4th and fastest lap in the Australian GP in Adelaide on the
5th Nov. 1989.
The car was bought from Team Lotus on 25th April 1990 shortly after the last time it was driven
which was by Johnny Herbert at a test on 25th Jan 1990 at Silverstone. Following this the vehicle
spent many years in various storage centers until being rediscovered in early 2009.
We have lovingly restored the striking F1 car to its former glory in record time and the car made
its first re-appearance at this year’s Race Retro show, it wasn’t driven for over 20 years until our
first test at Snetterton in June 2010 and subsequently made a dramatic appearance at this year’s
Goodwood Festival of speed. Our team racing driver is Steve Griffiths who is a renowned mechanical
engineer with many years of racing car experience and spent many years as OSS motorsport director.
Many of you will know him through Anglo American Autocare based in Newport, Wales.
